Black Shirt in TENCEL™ Lyocell
This shirt was sewn and finished by local dressmakers and is made of TENCEL™ Lyocell, a cellulosic fiber from responsibly managed forests, used to make not only the garment’s fabric but also the yarn for the stitching. The supplier of the fabric adopts the Chemical Management 4Sustainability protocol for the elimination of substances harmful to humans and the environment. We in any case believe that details make the difference, so for the labels sewn onto the garment we chose certified organic cotton. Likewise, the buttons are made of recycled hemp (on a zero-waste perspective) and a small percentage of recycled polyester and are purchased from a supplier who has joined Greenpeace’s Detox campaign to eliminate harmful substances from production. The fabric of the inserts takes on the vibrant colours of our patterns thanks to sustainable and certified inks safeguarding workers, consumers and the environment. Our chosen print house also reuses some of the water previously used in its production cycle. TENCEL™ is a trademark of Lenzing AG.
